Success at MHEA Excellence Awards

Tom Bullock wins Young Engineer of the Year

ProSpare Continuous Improvement Engineer, Tom Bullock, walked away victorious at this years’ MHEA Excellence Awards. Tom won Young Engineer of the Year at the event which formed part of the BULKEX18 conference and exhibition held last week at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham. The annual awards were presented at a gala dinner to mark the association's 80th anniversary.

The judging panel commented on Tom's academic achievements in gaining a first-class honours degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Warwick and previous awards from the IMechE. However, they were most impressed with the way that he has successfully translated his academic qualifications into the delivery of practical engineering projects for customers handling bulk materials in a wide variety of sectors.

The BULKEX18 event supported the government's 2018 Year of Engineering campaign, which celebrates engineering as an important part of the UK’s industrial strategy and highlights the commitment to boost engineering across the UK.

Tom commented;

 "It was an honour to have been presented with the Young Engineer of the Year award by such a long established and well-respected association as the MHEA. The fact that 2018 has been designated as the Year of Engineering makes the award even more special."
